Voluntary work at Bukit Merah View dated 17th January 2009

A voluntary work at Bukit Merah was definitely tiring but fun and rewarding. I mean I made some friends and at the same time contribute back to the society.....

Everyone were tired but our spirit were high as we saw alot of old folks that started to que before the foods distribution.

Everyone were busy packing, unload the goods from the lorry and coordinating the works. Some of the voluntaries are not that supportive and instead of helping, they are ordering people around. But thank goodness, within an hour, the bossy person disappeared and that where we are all happily work together as a team to distribute the goodies and foods to old folks.

In between, we managed to captured some photos, or it is me that forced them to pose, so that I can post in the blog......

Hmmm.... i didn't know that I am supposed to wear black, but thank goodness that I choose the right colour on that day.

Our hearts were at the fullest when we saw the big smiles from all the residents as they were receiving goods. No matter how tired and body aching, we all know that our efforts are not gone wasted.

Yeahh....... we made it.....

And no, we are not entitled anything from the voluntary work.

Maybe next year i will participate again should there be any chances......
