Are you the pet?

Are you the pet? My colleague asked me one fine day when we are tgossipping on the office politic.

“Yes” I answered. “that because I am treated like and animal” I added.

You see, in the corporate world, people like to curry favor with the boss, to the extent of being a dog. Other term that I can think off is apple polisher, suckers….. They are the two headed snake that will talk bad of the boss when the bosses not around, but act like an angel in front of the boss. That's one thing that pisses me off, although I could just close one eye and "hey it's none of my business." But then it really gets into you how low someone can actually stoop in order to gain favors, attention, promotion etc. Some colleagues can really sabotage your career for their own benefits. They lies, change story and tell all different type of stories to boss just to bring you down. Come on….. do you have to go that far? Everyone is making living. I really don’t wish to say this, but you will have

Guess that office politic happens everywhere & it lies with yourself to deal with it. Sometimes, when you are trying to be helpful and go all the way to help your colleague, all you gotten in return are back stabbing, gossips, bad attitude etc….. what have I done to deserve all these? People talk about teamwork and working together happily but I don’t see it. It’s all about “me” and “you” and NOT “WE”. What a fxxxxxx environment.

Some colleagues shout and show their tempers at every single damn thing & insist on having their way. They wanted to show their authority but when problem arise, they are the first one to run away. Better still to play taichi game “pushing all blames to other.

How to work with un-cooperative, un-productive people? Well, just too bad…..life goes on…..
